Our Culture War
This is the LA County crest, take a look at it. Anything in it offend you? There's something in it that offends the ACLU, and it isn't "Pomona", the Roman goddess of fruits and trees displayed front and center. It's the itty bitty cross on the right.
The ACLU wrote a letter to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors threatening to file a lawsuit if this cross isn't removed from the crest. The Board’s response? Intimidated over a POTENTIAL messy legal battle, the board cried uncle before one single legal punch, and agreed to remove the cross. The ACLU claimed an easy victory having incurred the total legal expenses of 37¢ while the LA County Board wiped the sweat off their brows.
The ACLU claims they are against any government endorsement of religion. Bologna. Religion is not the enemy, it’s the Judeo-Christian subculture in our country. The ACLU will not stop until we have erased every remnant of Judeo-Christian life. Nothing is sacred, and mark my words, every state and public display, coin, building, document, history book, tomb stone, even every political speech will be stripped of any remnant of our Judeo-Christian history and ethic before the ACLU retires.
It's just a cross, c'mon, what the big deal?
This happens to be a big deal, because it is getting this ridiculous, and it will not end. There's many, many examples that reveal the ACLU's true intentions, but the crest issue really spells it all out on the chalk board.
Look at the cross in proportion to the Roman goddess on the crest. Tell me why the ACLU doesn’t want "Pomona" removed? If L.A. County is endorsing Christianity by having a tiny cross on it’s crest, than we have to concede this same body has overwhelmingly endorsed the worship of fruits and trees with this goddess as the focal centerpiece. So why not ditch the goddess? She doesn’t represent the Judeo-Christian ethic, It’s that simple. The Judeo-Christian ethic in America is the arch rival of the ACLU.
They claim to be a proponent of civil liberties, but the ACLU's methodology runs counter to democracy. They get their work done behind the judicial benches and through intimidation tactics to force their will on morally empty individuals dressed up as public servants. Why do you think there wasn’t a public vote taken?
According to a Newsletter I received from the Thomas Moore law center, the ACLU routinely mails letters to public officials with the sole intention of intimidating them into removing Christian symbols from public displays, counting on their opponents to quiver under the prospect of legal entanglements. Yet when public officials get their lawyers on board and show their willingness to fight, these same ACLU officials walk away, called on their bluff, and just move to the next town. Did you hear that LA County?
Today on his radio program Dennis Prager broadcasted his desire to spearhead a social movement to fight this, and D.P. rarely gets caught up into "social movements" believe me, this is a big deal. We have to deal with the ACLU, this is a culture war.
I don’t want to sound like a troublemaker, but it’s just as dangerous for Christians to hide behind personal piety as an excuse to avoid dealing shrewdly with the bad influences in our land as it is for the pacifists to deny we’re at war against Terrorism. The only difference is if we lose the war against terrorism, we lose America’s physical security against the human forces of evil, but if America loses the Judeo-Christian ethic, we lose God, and when God leaves town, He will literally leave nothing behind.
